1) HIS INSULT! (11:1-6,12)

• You are a shameful mocking babbler

• You claim to be clean when you’re not

• You are getting off lightly

• You are a worthless, sinful, stupid man

2) HIS INQUEST! (11:7-20)

• Can you fathom the mystery of God?

• Can you measure the limits of One who is limitless?

• Can you thwart the summons of the Judge?

• I know what is required of you

3) HIS INDICTMENT! (Ch20)

• The wicked and godless perish in their dung

• God sends His burning anger against the wicked

• Terror, darkness, destruction & wrath are the wicked man’s portion

APPLICATIONS:

• Beware of orthodoxy clothed in cruelty

• Beware of the nonsense of neat and tidy theology.  The godly do suffer!

• In pain it’s the ultimate not the immediate that is promised

• Cast all your cares on the Man of Sorrows
